
Up to 60 millimeters of rain will fall on the 26th, mainly across the greater Seoul area and Gangwon Province. After the rain clears, high humidity and rising temperatures will push daytime highs as high as 36 degrees Celsius, keeping the weather sweltering.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain will fall in parts of the greater Seoul area, inland and mountainous Gangwon, and the northern east coast between morning and evening.
Northeastern Gyeonggi and the northern inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon are expected to see 5 to 60 millimeters of rain. Seoul, Incheon, northwestern and southeastern Gyeonggi, the central and southern inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and the northern east coast are forecast to receive 5 to 30 millimeters. Jeju's mountainous and mid-mountain areas will see showers of 5 to 10 millimeters.
Areas with rain or showers may experience thunder and lightning accompanied by gusts of wind.
With high humidity, feels-like highs will hover around 33 degrees for the time being, making conditions muggy. Heat wave advisories have been issued across most of the country, with parts of the South Chungcheong region and southern areas reaching up to 35 degrees.
Morning lows on the day are expected to range from 22 to 26 degrees, with daytime highs of 27 to 36 degrees.
Expected lows and highs for major cities are: Seoul and Gangneung, 25 and 31 degrees; Incheon, 25 and 29 degrees; Suwon, 24 and 30 degrees; Daejeon, 24 and 33 degrees; Sejong, 23 and 32 degrees; Gwangju, Daegu and Ulsan, 24 and 35 degrees; Busan, 26 and 35 degrees; and Jeju, 27 and 34 degrees.
Fog with visibility under 1 kilometer may form through the morning, mainly in inland areas nationwide. Fine dust levels are expected to range from "good" to "moderate" across all regions.
In the far seas off the eastern South Sea and the far seas south of Jeju, where high-seas advisories are in effect, winds will blow very strongly at 30 to 70 kilometers per hour through the 28th of this month. Waves will run very high at 2.0 to 4.0 meters.
