
GM Korea said on the 1st that it sold 23,042 vehicles in August, up 9.4% from a year earlier.
Overseas sales rose 12.4% to 22,311 units despite the impact of summer holidays and facility work carried out in August.
The Chevrolet Trax Crossover, including derivative models, led the performance with sales of 18,223 units, a 16.1% increase.
Domestic sales, however, came in at 731 units, down 39.4% from a year earlier. The Trax Crossover accounted for 629 units, the Trailblazer for 88 and the Sierra for 14.
Cumulative sales this year totaled 340,684 vehicles, including 333,916 overseas and 6,768 in the domestic market, up 12.6% from a year earlier.
