
ASML Korea is widening its recruitment beyond the semiconductor industry to engineers with experience in advanced and precision manufacturing. The company plans to hire more than 100 people in the second half of this year, combining new graduates and experienced hires, in response to expanding chip production in South Korea.
ASML Korea said on the 27th that it will accept applications for its second-half 2026 open recruitment of new graduates from the 1st to the 8th of next month through its official careers site. Successful candidates will work at major domestic chip production hubs including Hwaseong, Pyeongtaek, Cheongju and Icheon.
Open positions include customer support (CS) engineers, technical support engineers (TSE) and field application engineers (FAE). CS engineer applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in science or engineering, while TSE and FAE positions require a master's degree or higher.
CS engineer roles are divided into field service engineers (FSE), who handle maintenance of lithography systems at customers' chip fabs, and upgrade, install and relocation (UIR) engineers, who manage equipment installation, upgrades and relocation. Depending on the role, the hiring process includes presentations and role-playing interviews.
The company is also expanding experienced hiring. It plans to add a triple-digit number of staff in core engineering roles including UIR, FSE, TSE and FAE. The search will extend beyond the chip industry to engineers who have built experience in other technology sectors such as advanced and precision manufacturing.
The large-scale hiring comes as demand for installing, maintaining and upgrading lithography systems grows alongside expanding advanced chip production at domestic customers. South Korea accounted for 43% of ASML's global equipment sales in the second quarter of this year.
In February, ASML Korea opened the Global Training Center Korea at its campus in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, equipped with deep ultraviolet (DUV) and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems and cleanrooms, as part of its push to train customer support engineers.
