Karrot Real Estate, the property service of hyperlocal community app Karrot, said on the 28th that it has launched "Lived-There Reviews Map," a feature that lets users browse residents' firsthand housing reviews on a map.
"Lived-There Reviews" is a service in which users write and share their own experiences of homes and neighborhoods where they have lived. It offers practical details on transit access, nearby amenities and schooling, along with residents' accounts of what living there is actually like.
Karrot Real Estate has expanded those reviews into a map format so users can scan them at a glance. Searching an address under the "Lived-There Reviews" menu in the Karrot Real Estate tab brings up reviews posted for that building.
The feature covers a range of housing types, from apartments to studio and two-room units and officetels — studio units used as either a home or an office. Users can also filter reviews by the criteria they care about, or view "Neighborhood Reviews," which aggregate reviews across buildings in an area.
An official at Karrot Real Estate said, "We will continue to upgrade the feature so that users can explore homes and neighborhoods in a more multidimensional way, building on Karrot's own local connections."
