Skies will be mostly clear across South Korea on the 9th, though rain is expected through the morning along the east coasts of Gangwon and North Gyeongsang provinces.
Rain will fall until dawn in the northern coastal areas and northeastern mountains of North Gyeongsang Province, and through the morning in parts of the Gangwon mountains. Expected rainfall is 5 to 50 millimeters in the Gangwon mountains, 5 to 20 millimeters along the Gangwon east coast, and 5 to 10 millimeters in North Gyeongsang's northern coastal areas and northeastern mountains. Jeju Island may see scattered drops of less than 0.1 millimeter from dawn through the daytime.
Most of the country will be clear, with heavy clouds in some areas. Busan, Ulsan and the North Gyeongsang east coast will remain cloudy until dawn, while central regions and Jeju Island will gradually clear in the afternoon. Southern regions are expected to be mostly clear.
Morning lows will range from 16 to 22 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 23 to 31 degrees.
Waves near the coast will run 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea and 0.5 to 4.5 meters in the South Sea.
In inner offshore waters, waves are expected to reach 1.5 to 5.0 meters in both the East Sea and the South Sea, and 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea.
