Skies will be mostly clear across South Korea on the 7th, though rain is expected in parts of the country, including the eastern coasts of Gangwon and North Gyeongsang provinces.
Rain may fall through the morning along Gangwon's eastern coast and mountainous areas, in Busan, Ulsan, the eastern inland areas of South Gyeongsang Province and the southwestern coastal areas of the province, along North Gyeongsang Province's eastern coast and northeastern mountains, and on Jeju Island.
Expected rainfall is 5 to 20 millimeters in Jeju's mountainous and mid-mountain areas, and 5 to 10 millimeters along Gangwon's eastern coast and mountains and North Gyeongsang Province's eastern coast and northeastern mountains. Busan, Ulsan, the eastern inland areas of South Gyeongsang Province and the southwestern coastal areas of the province are forecast to see less than 5 millimeters, while Jeju's coastal areas will get about 5 millimeters.
Strong winds are expected across most of the country, and farmers and facility managers should take precautions. Winds will also be strong over most waters.
Morning lows will range from 15 to 23 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 25 to 31 degrees.
Waves will run 1.0 to 4.0 meters in coastal waters of the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea and 0.5 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
In nearby open waters, waves are forecast at 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea and 1.5 to 5.0 meters in the South Sea.
