The Korea Venture Business Association and the International Network of Korean Entrepreneurs (INKE) said on the 3rd that they had signed a memorandum of understanding with Seoul National University of Science and Technology to nurture global talent and strengthen industry-academia cooperation.
The agreement is intended to link the university's capacity to train skilled professionals with the domestic and overseas venture networks of the association and INKE. The three institutions set a joint goal of building a two-way industry-academia cooperation framework and cultivating the next generation of talent to lead the global technology industry.
Under the agreement, the three sides will work together on training next-generation global talent needed by venture companies and connecting them to jobs at those firms; developing and running education and training programs to build talent and competitiveness; expanding field training and support for finding overseas jobs and startup opportunities by matching interns with companies abroad; and operating education and exchange programs for global internships. In particular, they will use INKE's infrastructure, a network of 48 chapters in 27 countries, to match graduates of the university with internships at overseas subsidiaries and support them in finding jobs or starting businesses abroad.
"We will expand cooperation so that we can offer young talent opportunities for global growth and venture companies opportunities to secure outstanding talent," said Song Byung-joon, chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association.
