Set in the Dowongyeong region, Karing can be challenged by characters at level 280 or above, and defeating the boss yields growth materials along with a new necklace item, "Imitated Knot of God."
Zeus: God of Arrogance Launches Billing Discount Promotion With Three Carriers
Com2uS is running a billing discount promotion with South Korea's three mobile carriers to mark the official launch of its new MMORPG, "Zeus: God of Arrogance."
The promotion runs from the 26th of this month, when the game began official service, through the afternoon of the 15th of next month, and is open to SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus subscribers. Players who use their carrier's payment method for in-game purchases during that period qualify for billing discounts based on their total spending.
SK Telecom and LG Uplus subscribers receive a base discount of up to 5,000 won, plus an additional 10% on purchases of 100,000 won or more. The additional discount is capped at 200,000 won.
KT subscribers receive a base billing discount of up to 3,000 won. Purchases between 100,000 won and 300,000 won earn an additional 5% discount, while purchases of 300,000 won or more earn 10%, with the additional discount capped at 100,000 won.
Zeus: God of Arrogance is also running a range of launch events. These include a seven-day login event called "Call of Olympus," along with "Athena's Special Orders," "Hephaestus' Tempering," "Odysseia: A Hero's Journey" and "Apollo's Leap," which award various prizes for in-game activities such as character growth, gear enhancement and crafting.
Nexon Adds New Boss 'Karing' to MapleStory M
Nexon has added a new boss called "Karing" to its mobile MMORPG "MapleStory M."
Set in the Dowongyeong region, Karing comes in Normal and Hard difficulties and can be challenged by characters at level 280 or above. Rewards for defeating Karing include a new necklace item, "Imitated Knot of God," as well as "Transmission Scrolls," the honing material "Instrument of Death" and "Karing's Soul Fragments."
Nexon has also added a second skill for the "Constella Core" within "Stellar Code," MapleStory M's original skill system. Granted by job class, the new skill is a buff that confers invulnerability and adds a passive attack effect with extra projectiles, making it broadly useful in boss raids and hunting.
Through the 16th of next month, the game is running an account-wide event called "Additional Potential Scroll Alchemy" to help characters at level 100 or above grow. Players complete daily missions to collect the material item "Additional Magic Powder," which can be spent to obtain items such as "Additional Potential Scrolls." Collecting larger amounts of the material improves the chances of receiving higher-grade scrolls.
Through Sept. 30, the game is also running a "World Leap" event that lets players transfer up to five characters per account at level 230 or above from Challengers World to existing worlds. The transfer covers items and mesos held in character inventories, along with designated assets and data including "V Core" unlock and enhancement status, "V Points" and "Sol Erda Fragments."
CookieRun: Crumble Tops 20 Billion Won in Cumulative Revenue
"CookieRun: Crumble," a mobile idle RPG developed by Studio Kingdom, a studio under Devsisters (194480), has surpassed 20 billion won in revenue in less than a month since launch.
Globally released on the 30th of last month, CookieRun: Crumble has now recorded 20 billion won in cumulative revenue and more than 2.5 million users, an encouraging early showing.
Notably, a high share of players had not previously played a CookieRun title. That suggests the game has drawn in idle-game enthusiasts beyond the existing CookieRun fan base, which should support long-term staying power. The game currently holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 on Apple's App Store.
On the afternoon of the 27th of this month, the game rolled out an update adding new cookies including the TSSR-grade "Brightseeker Cookie," a guild raid mode and an expanded main stage. After the update, the game climbed back to No. 2 on the domestic App Store's real-time revenue chart, a sign of strong player interest.
CookieRun: Crumble is an idle RPG built on the CookieRun intellectual property, which has drawn 300 million users worldwide. It combines an accessible idle-game structure with rapid progression, generous rewards and a light, playful setting. Devsisters plans to keep adding content through regular updates to improve player satisfaction.
Pearl Abyss' Black Desert Mobile Opens 'Fortress Siege' Test Server Sept. 1
Pearl Abyss (263750) will open a test server on Sept. 1 for "Fortress Siege," a revamped version of the node war mode in Black Desert Mobile.
Fortress Siege serves as a gateway to castle siege warfare, pitting guilds against one another across a vast battlefield. Up to six guilds and 300 players can take part, with adventurers free to devise strategies based on varying objectives and combat situations.
To mark the test server opening, the game is running several events. Participating adventurers receive items including Scrolls of Order, Unidentified Chaos Skill Manuals, a selection box containing Purified Water, Citron Tea or Clockwork Gears, and a Time-Infused Pet Selection Box (7th generation).
Insignia and crest engraving items have also been streamlined to match adventurers' progression stages. Since the Heidel Ball event in July, the game has been gradually reorganizing items used in progression, including Crow Merchants Guild elixirs, accessories and Condensed Black Energy, to improve access to content.
The game is currently running a "Black Spirit's World Tour" event marking the first anniversary of its global unified server. Set across five continents, the event lets adventurers use cards earned as login rewards to complete a board game themed around the five continents. Completing the board yields items including a Sealed Ring of Legacy, Arcrad, Black Shrine entry tickets and Eye of the Void.
Epic Seven Kicks Off Major Eighth-Anniversary Update
Smilegate said "Epic Seven," a mobile turn-based strategy RPG developed by Super Creative, is beginning a major update and event lineup to mark the eighth anniversary of its official launch.
The anniversary update opens a new side-story episode, "Paradise Lost," with key characters available as new playable heroes. It also brings various quality-of-life improvements and new content. Events include up to 1,260 free covenant summons and other rewards.
"Paradise Lost" leads off the eighth-anniversary update. Set in the First Era of an Epic Seven universe that cycles through destruction and restoration, it tells the human-era story of "Kayron," familiar to players as the series' foremost villain. As with "Elegy of the Fading Embers," the first side-story episode released last year, all dialogue is fully voiced to heighten immersion.
"Lizette," a central character in Paradise Lost, joins as a new Moonlight hero. She is part of the goddess "Diche," who descended in human form to prevent the world's destruction, and Paradise Lost depicts her noble sacrifice. Her skill set reflects that narrative of a goddess who restores the world. Lizette gains four stacks of "Divinity" at the start of combat and can spend them to revive fallen allies. When she uses her third skill, "Converged Time," while in a Divinity state, she triggers "Time Reversal" for all allies, a powerful effect that returns heroes to their state at the start of battle.
The update also brings quality-of-life improvements and new player-versus-player content. Epic Seven's repeat-battle feature, "Auto Repeat," has been upgraded so battles run and rewards accrue even while players are offline. Automatic gear selling and extraction have also been added, making equipment management easier.
World Arena, the game's real-time PVP mode, gains a new mode called "Call of Chaos." Featuring casual drafting and fast-paced combat, the mode has each side field three heroes, with victory going to whoever destroys the opposing "Guardian" positioned in the back line first.
