Fasoo AI said on the 26th that it has completed building FasooBlock, its own private blockchain solution, into the lottery system operated by Donghang Lottery. The company said the move will block tampering with lottery data at its source and further strengthen data integrity and transparency.
Fasoo AI, which oversees overall security for the Donghang Lottery consortium, fully adopted blockchain technology to achieve a system-upgrade goal of strengthening data integrity and securing stability.
A private blockchain can be accessed only by participants approved in advance, giving it faster processing speeds and easier control over sensitive data. It is used mainly in fields where multiple parties jointly manage data and where proving authenticity and tracing history are essential.
FasooBlock applies to all of Donghang Lottery's draw-based and instant lottery systems, including Lotto 6/45 and Speetto 2000. It securely records and manages integrity hashes of the lottery purchase ledger — values used to verify whether data has been altered — along with winning information. When verifying high-value winning tickets, the system cross-checks against that information to sharply raise reliability. Once a record is entered on the blockchain, its history can be traced in real time, making tampering virtually impossible.
Kang Bong-ho, head of Fasoo AI's service business division, said FasooBlock, built on a private blockchain, is a way to secure data reliability and transparency both economically and efficiently. He added that the company will use the Donghang Lottery project — validated through collaboration with the operating consortium — as a springboard to expand the technology into industries where data integrity is central, such as finance, the public sector and logistics.
