TMAP Mobility, which is expanding its scope into a "life cycle platform," will offer its largest-ever amount of Naver Points to users who check car insurance premiums on the TMAP application.
Users can receive 9,000 points each time they check insurance premiums from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, DB Insurance, and KB Insurance through the "Car Life" tab in the TMAP app, the company said Wednesday. The maximum amount available is a total of 36,000 points, an increase of 12,000 points from the previous offering.
Behind the insurers' partnership with TMAP lies the platform's power. TMAP is Korea's No. 1 platform for usage-based insurance (UBI) car insurance discount riders based on driving scores, with subscribers approaching 5 million. Insurers expect to secure many such safe drivers through the TMAP platform.
TMAP Mobility's strengthening of insurance-related benefits aligns with its move to evolve from a simple navigation app into a platform encompassing all aspects of users' automotive lifestyles. In fact, beyond car insurance, TMAP Mobility is expanding its offerings to include various insurance products needed in daily life, such as health insurance, pet insurance, and home fire insurance. It also offers vehicle purchases and sales, long-term car rental contracts, and the ability to buy various automotive supplies at the lowest prices nationwide.
TMAP Mobility also plans to significantly expand the scope of its "driving score-based discount benefits." While the benefit currently applies only to car insurance discounts, it will be extended to automotive supply purchases and various life insurance products such as health insurance. Furthermore, TMAP Mobility aims to expand its business into a life cycle platform encompassing all aspects of life, including marriage, childcare, real estate, health, and funerals.
"This event is an opportunity to enjoy unprecedented benefits simply by checking car insurance quotes," said Yoo Jung-hwa, head of the Car Life business at TMAP Mobility. "TMAP is evolving into a platform that supports all aspects of users' automotive lives based on overwhelming mobility data, and we will expand it into a platform encompassing customers' entire lives going forward."
