KT Wiz outfielder Ahn Hyun-min's fifth home run of the season was wiped out by torrential rain.
Ahn hit a two-run homer in the third inning while KT led 1-0 in a home game against the Kiwoom Heroes at KT Wiz Park in Suwon on the 9th, part of the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League.
It was his fifth home run of the season, coming 13 games after his last one against the SSG Landers on the 23rd of last month.
But with KT ahead 3-0, heavy rain began pouring just before the start of the bottom of the fourth inning, and the game was suspended at 7:45 p.m.
As the rain eased, the umpires announced they would resume play at 9:30 p.m. after grounds maintenance. But the rain intensified again during the maintenance work, and a rain-shortened no-game was declared at 9:31 p.m.
The game, which started 17 minutes later than scheduled, was delayed for 106 minutes after the suspension but ultimately could not be resumed.
With the no-game declaration, the result was canceled, along with Ahn's two-run homer and its record. He will have to try again for his fifth home run of the season in the next game.
With the no-game declaration, both the game result and Ahn's home run record disappeared. He must challenge again for his fifth home run of the season in the next game.
