Seoul's Seodaemun-gu will hold the 2026 Seodaemun Pet Companion Festival at Hongje Waterfall Plaza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 12th to mark Animal Protection Day.
The event is open to pet owners as well as any resident interested in animal welfare and pet culture. Booths at the venue will offer caricatures, grooming, health consultations, AI-based behavior counseling, adoption counseling for abandoned animals and a four-cut photo booth for dogs.
A "sports day" for dogs and their owners will feature three events — "stay," "come here" and an obstacle course — with prizes awarded in each category.
A flea market selling dog food, clothing and toys will also operate, along with pet portrait drawing and a wool felt craft workshop. A mobile playground where dogs can run freely will be set up as well.
