A North Korean delegation led by Cabinet Premier Pak Thae-song will visit China to attend a ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the North Korea-China friendship treaty.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on the 9th that the delegation of the party and government, headed by Pak, would make an official visit to China at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government.
KCNA said the delegation would participate in a ceremony marking the "Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between North Korea and China." China's state-run Xinhua News Agency reported that Pak and others would visit China from the 10th to the 12th.
Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited North Korea last month and met with State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un, saying the ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the North Korea-China friendship treaty "should be held grandly."
