The group BTS released a live video of "NORMAL," a track from their fifth full-length album, through their official YouTube channel at midnight on the 21st.
Like the live video of the title track "SWIM" released in March, this video was filmed at the serene hanok, a traditional Korean house, called Seonhyewon. The members' vivid vocals, so intimate that even the faintest breaths can be heard, fill the space and add to its resonance.
"NORMAL" is an alternative pop track that calmly sings of the emptiness and fear that exist behind the spotlight, characterized by a soft singing rap that unfolds as if speaking. The song entered the U.S. Billboard main singles chart "Hot 100" at No. 41 and has remained on the chart for three consecutive weeks.
BTS is holding "ARIRANG," the largest world tour in K-pop history, comprising a total of 88 shows across 34 cities worldwide. They drew approximately 840,000 people in North America and about 720,000 in Europe. In particular, during the stage for the track "Body to Body," they are creating a symbolic moment where everyone sings the Korean folk song "Arirang" together.
Meanwhile, BTS will continue the fervor of their world tour in New York, the United States, on August 1-2.
