Kia (000270.KS) said on the 26th that Kim Hyung-soo, a senior auto consultant at its Songpa branch in Seoul, had reached 4,000 cumulative car sales to earn the title of "Grand Master."
Grand Master is an honor awarded at Kia to auto consultants who reach 4,000 cumulative sales.
Kim joined the company in 1993 and sold an average of 121 cars a year over 33 years to reach the 4,000 mark, becoming the 40th person to earn the Grand Master title. Kia presented Kim with a plaque and an award vehicle.
"The steady, diligent effort of running around to meet customers every day from my first day on the job seems to have been the driving force that led to good results," Kim said. "I will keep my original resolve and continue to reach out sincerely to each and every customer."
Under its long-term sales honors program, Kia awards auto consultants the title of "Star" at 2,000 cumulative sales, "Master" at 3,000, "Grand Master" at 4,000 and "Great Master" at 5,000.
