Dongwon F&B said on the 25th that it will raise the shipment prices of some products by an average of 9% to 10%, starting September 1, citing higher costs.
Prices of canned tuna products, including its flagship Dongwon Tuna, will rise by an average of 9%. Beverages such as Yangban omija tea will increase by an average of 9% to 10%.
The company said the adjustment reflects rising costs for raw materials, production and distribution. "We are unavoidably adjusting the prices of some products due to factors such as high oil prices, a high exchange rate and a sharp jump in packaging material costs," a Dongwon F&B official said.
