Skies will be mostly clear across South Korea on the 16th, with light drizzle expected in Jeju Island's mountainous areas and along its coast.
Rainfall in Jeju's mountains and mid-mountain areas is forecast at less than 5 millimeters. Coastal areas are expected to see 0.1 millimeters of rain.
Temperature swings between morning and afternoon will be wide, exceeding 10 degrees Celsius in most areas outside the east coast.
Morning lows nationwide are forecast at 11 to 20 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 24 to 30 degrees. Morning lows will fall to around 10 degrees in Gangwon Province, including Chuncheon, while daytime highs will climb to 30 degrees in southern cities such as Gwangju and Changwon.
Expected morning lows in major cities are 14 degrees in Seoul, 16 in Incheon, 11 in Chuncheon, 15 in Gangneung, 14 in Daejeon, 18 in Daegu, 15 in Jeonju, 17 in Gwangju, 21 in Busan and 21 in Jeju.
Daytime highs are forecast at 28 degrees in Seoul, 28 in Incheon, 28 in Chuncheon, 25 in Gangneung, 28 in Daejeon, 28 in Daegu, 29 in Jeonju, 30 in Gwangju, 28 in Busan and 27 in Jeju.
Waves will run 0.5 to 2.0 meters in coastal waters of the East Sea and around 0.5 meters in coastal waters of the West Sea and South Sea. In nearer offshore waters, defined as waters within about 200 kilometers of the coastline, wave heights are expected at 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
