Skies will be mostly clear across South Korea on Tuesday, Sept. 15, with the gap between daytime and nighttime temperatures widening to more than 10 degrees Celsius.
Morning lows are forecast at 12 to 20 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 24 to 29 degrees.
Expected morning lows in major cities are 15 degrees in Seoul, 16 in Incheon, 13 in Chuncheon, 17 in Gangneung, 14 in Daejeon, 17 in Daegu, 15 in Jeonju, 17 in Gwangju, 20 in Busan and 21 in Jeju.
Daytime highs are forecast at 27 degrees in Seoul, 26 in Incheon, 26 in Chuncheon, 25 in Gangneung, 26 in Daejeon, 28 in Daegu, 27 in Jeonju, 28 in Gwangju, 28 in Busan and 27 in Jeju.
The gap between daytime and nighttime temperatures will remain wide, at 10 to 15 degrees, across most of the country for the time being.
Skies will be mostly clear nationwide, though the southern regions will see occasional heavy cloud cover. The east coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province and the east coast of the Gyeongsang region will be mostly overcast.
Sprinkles of less than 0.1 millimeters will fall along the east coast and in mountainous areas of Gangwon Province through the morning, along the east coast of North Gyeongsang Province in the morning and in parts of Busan in the afternoon. Rain of less than 5 millimeters will fall along the east coast of North Gyeongsang Province and in Ulsan in the afternoon.
Fine dust levels will remain "good" nationwide.
Waves will run 0.5 to 1.5 meters in coastal waters of the East Sea and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in coastal waters of the West Sea and the South Sea. In nearer offshore waters, waves are expected to reach 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and the South Sea and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea.
