ULSAN — The 11th Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival will open online booking for all screenings and festival programs through its official website at 2 p.m. on the 25th.
This year's festival is being staged as a stay-and-experience event set against the natural scenery of the Yeongnam Alps, aiming to extend the emotions felt on screen into on-site experiences. In line with that theme, booking has opened for all ticket categories, including not only individual film screenings but also specialized outdoor programs and dedicated seats for people with limited mobility.
Tickets for general screenings and festival programs cost 3,000 won. Up to four tickets may be purchased per program at a time, and repeat bookings are allowed. The "bivouac screening," where viewers watch under the night sky at an outdoor stage in the Yeongnam Alps, and the "car-camping screening," which charges no extra fee for additional passengers per vehicle, are each priced at 10,000 won. Wheelchair seats and sign-language interpretation seats for viewers with disabilities (3,000 won each) can also be booked online.
Online booking is available on the official website until 20 minutes before each program begins. During the festival, from Sept. 18 to 22, same-day tickets will be sold at the main box office of the Yeongnam Alps Welcome Center and at on-site booths at each screening venue.
Free admission is also offered for local residents. Ulju County residents who present identification showing their address or other supporting documents, such as a student ID, can receive free admission tickets, limited to the first 200 people at the opening ceremony and the first 300 at the closing ceremony.
The 11th Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival, held under the slogan "Let's Climb Together, the Mountain of Film," runs for five days from Sept. 18 to 22 in the area around the Yeongnam Alps Welcome Center in Ulju County, Ulsan.
