Samsung SDS (018260) said on the 15th that it has become the first Korean company to earn Select Tier partner status in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network. The status follows the strategic partnership the two companies signed at an AI summit in San Francisco in July. Select Tier designates partners that have certified technical staff and have demonstrated experience building and deploying solutions for joint customers in live operating environments.
Samsung SDS had previously secured authorized reseller status allowing it to supply Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Web Services' generative AI platform, and to support adoption and operations. With the addition of the Select Tier status, the company said it has strengthened a one-stop AI adoption framework spanning consulting on Claude adoption, supply of Claude through Amazon Bedrock, service development and operation, and technical support.
The company plans to combine Anthropic's AI technology with its own digital transformation and AI transformation (AX) experience accumulated across the public, financial, manufacturing and logistics sectors to expand Claude-based AI services and agents tailored to corporate clients' business needs. To that end, Samsung SDS will systematically train applied AI engineers.
Under a "client zero" strategy of adopting and validating new technology internally before rolling it out to customers, Samsung SDS deployed Claude Enterprise for its own operations first. It currently provides Claude Enterprise to about 70,000 employees at 20 Samsung affiliates. Drawing on that large-scale internal and affiliate deployment, the company plans to build up practical corporate use cases and know-how for Claude and expand them into customers' AI adoption and AX projects.
Chris Ciauri, head of international go-to-market at Anthropic, said Samsung SDS is a partner with strong technical capabilities and industry expertise to apply AI to real business in enterprise environments. He said the Select Tier status in the Claude Partner Network will further expand strategic cooperation between the two companies and that Anthropic will actively support Korean companies in maximizing productivity and achieving innovation through Claude. Lee Jun-hee, CEO of Samsung SDS, said the company will combine Anthropic's frontier AI technology with the industry-specific digital transformation experience Samsung SDS has built up to accelerate AI adoption at Korean companies and help them create tangible business value. Lee added that the company will combine global AI technologies including Claude with its multidimensional full-stack AI offering to support customers' successful AX.
