Nexon has rolled out the Season 4 Episode 1 "Great Battle" update for its looter-shooter game First Descendant. The update introduces a main story depicting the final showdown with the archenemy Karel, along with a mega dungeon called Karel's Ship and a new Descendant named Raven. It also adds 11 new "Transcendent"-grade weapons and repeatable content called Trials. Separately, Color Sweeper, a deduction-based mobile puzzle game operated by Com2uS Holdings, is running a global co-op event called World Painter through the 26th of this month. The event is real-time cooperative content in which players around the world join forces to restore a black-and-white world to color and create limited-edition stickers. Players can accumulate individual contributions and global achievements to produce a limited-edition commemorative sticker.
◇ Nexon Rolls Out First Descendant Season 4 Episode 1 "Great Battle" Update = First Descendant, a looter-shooter game developed by Nexon subsidiary Nexon Games, has launched its Season 4 Episode 1 "Great Battle" update.
The main story, "Great Battle," depicts the final confrontation between the Descendants and their archenemy Karel, bringing a long-running narrative to its climax. Players take on story missions set in Albion, a base thrown into crisis by Karel's invasion. Karel is portrayed not as a simple foe but as a figure with distinct goals and motives, and previously hidden secrets are revealed along the way.
The update also adds a new mega dungeon, Karel's Ship. In this content, players face the final boss Karel across three stages, experiencing large-scale set pieces in which the space and attack patterns change with each fight. Players can gain an edge in battle by destroying structures inside the dungeon. It runs in two difficulty settings, Normal and Hard, with the Normal setting letting players enjoy it naturally along the story flow. From the 3rd of next month through October 15, a top-tier "Conquest" difficulty will open for a limited time, awarding an exclusive skin for the new "Transcendent"-grade weapon "Malicious Dominator" and limited rewards upon clearing it.
The update also adds a new Descendant, Raven. A former boss of a back-alley guild in Albion, Raven is a Goth-concept Descendant marked by heavy eye makeup and a crow-feather suit. Raven is a non-elemental, gun-based skill dealer who uses a shotgun and mobility skills, weaving between enemies with the "Crow Feather" and "Shadow Step" skills to take down multiple foes and dealing powerful area-of-effect damage with the "Vendetta" skill.
Nexon also unveiled 11 weapons in the new "Transcendent" grade. They consist of four enhanced versions of existing "Ultimate" weapons and seven new ones, offering a distinct feel through dedicated firing methods and effects. The performance of "Transcendent" weapons is determined by their quality, and the baseline quality rises with each acquisition, allowing players to obtain higher-quality "Transcendent" weapons.
Nexon is running various events to mark the update. Players who complete the "Great Battle Deployment Missions" by September 17 will receive items including a "Transcendent Module Selection Box" for the new Descendant Raven and a "Crystallization Catalyst," while completing the "New Content Challenge Missions" during the same period rewards the "Malevolent" weapon skin "Slaughterer" and an "Alignment Device," among others. Through September 24, the "Frontline Medical Support" attendance event lets players obtain the "Medical Support" skin for the Descendant Luna and growth-support rewards.
◇ Com2uS Opens Global Co-op Event for Deduction Puzzle Game 'Color Sweeper' = Com2uS Holdings (063080.KS) is running a "World Painter" event in which players worldwide take part in Color Sweeper, a deduction-based mobile puzzle game developed by ARRKKA.
Running through the 26th of this month, World Painter is a global cooperative event in which players around the world join forces to restore a world turned black and white back to color. At the start of the event, players are assigned three worlds, and they take part naturally by equipping a palette suited to each world and playing puzzles. Each time a puzzle is cleared, individual contributions and world-restoration progress accumulate together, which players can use to create a limited-edition commemorative sticker called "Token of Restoration."
In particular, the event displays top contributors and each world's progress in real time, which is expected to offer a fresh mix of cooperation and competition as players worldwide solve the puzzles together.
Color Sweeper is a mobile logic game that is solved through logical deduction alone. Players work out the color of blank cells based on numerical clues. It reinterprets the core logic of the classics Minesweeper and Nonogram with a modern sensibility, offering the pleasure of thinking and the fun of solving puzzles.
◇ NCSOFT Runs Guerrilla Event at NC Family Zone PC Cafes = NCSOFT (036570.KS) is running a guerrilla event at more than 70 NC Family Zone (NCFZ) PC cafes nationwide.
PC cafe users can take part in the guerrilla event on weekends from the 22nd to the 30th of this month. A mission is completed by spending at least 15 minutes on one of the following: NCSOFT's PC cafe service games, five popular Roblox games available through the PC cafe launcher Roboost, or the animation OTT service Laftel. Users who verify their completion screen with on-site staff can receive a scratch coupon that reveals on the spot whether they have won.
Additional scratch coupons can be earned through a Blade & Soul NEO special mission. Players simply create a new character on the Blade & Soul NEO boost server and play for at least 15 minutes.

TapTap is a leading Chinese game platform that serves as a hub for sharing game information and connecting players. TapTap Game Fest 2026 is a creator-focused offline gaming event hosted by TapTap, to be held at the West Bund Art Center in Shanghai.
inZOI has continued rolling out updates reflecting player feedback since its early-access release last year. This year, it has overhauled the in-game career system and added new jobs, expanding the simulation experience with a range of gameplay content including business management and high school simulations.
A dedicated inZOI-branded play zone will be set up at the venue. Visitors will be able to play inZOI directly, and Kim Hyung-jun, CEO of inZOI Studio and general director of inZOI, will take part in an on-stage session to interact with players. The session will be broadcast live through TapTap's official channels.
The event will also mark the first reveal of a previously undisclosed inZOI feature. Attendees will be able to try the feature through a live demonstration at the venue, and the company plans to refine it further before an official release.
