
TelePIX, a comprehensive space artificial intelligence (AI) solutions company, said it has signed a contract to export an AI satellite payload system to Antaris Space, a U.S. space company.
Antaris, which operates a space software (SW) business, supports everything from space system design to manufacturing and operation through an AI-based platform. The TelePIX product supplied to the company is a next-generation satellite payload that integrates an optical camera for microsatellites with a resolution of 4.8 meters and a graphics processing unit (GPU)-based onboard AI system. It can process or analyze imagery in real time on the satellite, a feature that enhances data usability and operational efficiency.
The two companies plan to expand the scope of their cooperation on the basis of this contract. They are also in talks to supply a 0.5-meter ultra-high-resolution electro-optical camera for medium-sized satellites, which TelePIX has exported to Europe.
The company emphasized that this contract represents a mid-to-long-term cooperation model in which the two firms jointly pursue securing data sovereignty and in-orbit demonstration of AI. TelePIX's AI satellite payload will also be mounted on Antaris' JANUS-2 satellite, which is scheduled to launch early next year. In addition, TelePIX will conduct in-orbit performance verification of its self-developed onboard vision language model (VLM).

"Based on the in-orbit operational track record accumulated through BlueBON and our satellite system technology grounded in vertical integration, we will expand exports in advanced space markets such as the United States and Europe."
