DAEJEON — The Korean Women's Science and Technology Association (KWSE) held the 2026 KWSE Future Convergence Forum on the 17th at the Didimdol Plaza of the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology in Daejeon, under the theme "Convergence Technology, Leadership and Collaboration in the Age of Artificial Intelligence."
The forum was organized alongside the association's first Members' Day event since the launch of its 16th leadership team.
Women scientists and engineers from across the country came together to share their expertise and experience, and to discuss the direction of multidisciplinary convergence and future-oriented leadership in a science and technology environment being rapidly reshaped by AI.
"I want KWSE to serve as a solid platform so that the participation of each and every member leads to new collaboration, and so that those connections become the strength of a sustainable ecosystem for women in science and technology," KWSE President Lim Chae-duck said.
Founded in 1993, KWSE was the first organization for women in science and technology in South Korea. It has worked to build members' capabilities and advance their interests, establish domestic and international networks, and promote science diplomacy and science culture. As of September 2026, the association had about 2,500 members.
