
The special counsel team dispatched prosecutors and investigators to a total of nine locations, including the National Election Commission and regional election commissions, on the morning of the 17th to conduct search and seizure operations.
The team is securing materials related to the alleged irregularities under investigation, including internal servers at NEC offices, according to sources. It is the first search and seizure carried out since the special counsel's launch.
The special counsel team is investigating a total of 12 allegations. These include the ballot paper shortage during the local elections and suspected manipulation of voting statistics, as well as junket-style overseas trips by NEC officials, irregular hiring and promotion favors, and preferential private contracts and collusion with vendors.
