A man in his 80s has been placed in custody after allegedly stabbing and injuring a man in his 70s in the Jeonnong-dong area of Seoul's Dongdaemun district.
Kang Young-hoon, the presiding judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Northern District Court, questioned the suspect, surnamed Lee, before deciding on detention and issued a pretrial detention warrant, citing a risk that he could flee, legal sources said on the 15th.
Lee is accused of stabbing a man in his 70s with a knife on a street in Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun district, on the 13th of this month. The victim was taken to a hospital with stab wounds but his life is not in danger.
