Nancy Lang, a Korean American television personality whose legal name is Park Hye-ryung, is under police investigation on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Seoul's Gangnam Police Station said on the 8th that it had booked Lang on drunk driving charges under the Road Traffic Act.
Lang is suspected of driving while intoxicated in the Gangnam Boulevard area at about 3:45 a.m. that day. Her blood alcohol content measured at the time of the stop exceeded 0.08%, the threshold for revoking a driver's license, according to sources.
No collisions with other vehicles or facilities occurred, and no one was injured, police said.
Police plan to summon Lang for questioning soon to determine the circumstances, including when and where she had been drinking and the route she traveled.
