Police are searching for a suspect after a woman who had previously reported domestic violence was stabbed to death.
A woman in her 30s, identified by her surname A, was stabbed multiple times by an unidentified assailant on an outdoor stairway of a multi-unit housing building in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, at around 7:17 a.m. on the 1st, police said.
A, who had previously filed a domestic violence report, alerted police using a smartwatch issued to her and was taken to a hospital, but died.
Police confirmed through nearby closed-circuit television footage that a suspect wearing a hat wielded a knife, and are tracking the person's whereabouts.
