Two well-known internet broadcasters who are dating each other are under police investigation on suspicion of taking psychotropic drugs, authorities said.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul booked three people, including Yin Se-yeon, 26, who streams under the name Guava Seyeon, and Park Jung-gyu, 37, known as K, on July 30 for violating the Narcotics Control Act, police said on the 1st.
The two are suspected of taking sleeping pills classified as psychotropic drugs. Park is believed to have obtained the pills through a prescription written for an acquaintance.
After reports last month that he had been booked over the proxy prescription, Park acknowledged during a personal live stream that he had been questioned by police. At the time, only Park was known to be under investigation, but police confirmed on the 1st that Yin, his girlfriend, had also been booked.
Park began broadcasting online in 2012 and now has about 700,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel. Yin drew public attention in 2024 when she was spotted with HYBE (352820) Chairman Bang Si-hyuk in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
