A man in his 60s has been indicted and detained on charges of fatally stabbing an acquaintance during an argument at a baduk parlor, a venue for the traditional board game also known as go, in Seoul's Nowon District.
The Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office said its second criminal division, headed by Kim Ga-ram, indicted the suspect, identified only as A, on murder charges while keeping him in custody, according to legal sources on the 1st. A was referred to prosecutors on the 14th of last month on charges of stabbing an acquaintance, a man also in his 60s, to death after the two quarreled at the parlor in Nowon District.
A was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime. Police arrested him at the scene after a witness at the parlor reported the incident.
