HONGSEONG — Chungcheongnam Province is looking for local companies that offer the kind of working conditions young adults prefer.
The province said it is accepting applications for its 2026 Chungcheongnam Youth-Friendly Companies program from the 1st through the 30th.
The program identifies and promotes companies that meet the working conditions young adults consider important, including pay, benefits and the work environment, with the aim of spreading corporate cultures where young people want to work.
The province selected five companies and institutions in 2024 and 11 companies in 2025. It plans to select about 15 this year.
Applications are open to small and mid-sized companies with headquarters, production facilities or other business sites in the province. Firms can either be recommended by their city or county government or apply directly. Selections will be made through a first-round document review and a second-round on-site assessment, followed by a comprehensive evaluation.
Selected companies will hold youth-friendly status for three years and receive a commendation from the governor along with a plaque. The province will also support them through corporate briefing sessions, preferential treatment in provincial youth employment programs, promotional content produced through the Chungnam Youth Portal, and exchange programs between young people and the selected firms.
"We hope to see interest and participation from small and mid-sized companies in the province that are building environments where young people want to work," a provincial official said.
