INCHEON — Choi Ki-young, a 62-year-old professor of aerospace engineering, has been named the 17th president of Inha University, the school's governing foundation Chung Seok Inha Institute said after a board meeting on the 27th. His four-year term runs from September 1 through August 31, 2030.
Choi graduated from Seoul National University's Department of Aeronautical Engineering and earned his doctorate at Stanford University in the United States. He previously served as head of Inha University's internationalization program office and as provost for academic affairs.
"Through educational innovation, the building of a multi-campus system and industry-academia cooperation, I will develop Inha University into a world-class private institution," Choi said.
