A Chinese university lecturer in his 30s, surnamed Zheng, has been arrested on suspicion of killing a Chinese woman studying in South Korea.
Hwang In-jun, a senior judge in charge of warrants at the Daegu District Court, issued the arrest warrant on the 27th after questioning the suspect ahead of the decision.
The judge cited a risk of flight as the reason for granting the warrant.
Zheng is suspected of killing the 25-year-old student, identified only as A, at his home in Hayang, Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, early on the 20th of this month, and of mutilating her body.
