South Gyeongsang Province is recruiting local companies to participate in the "Gyeongnam Comprehensive Job Fair," to be held on the 16th of next month at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO). The fair targets companies with hiring plans for the second half of the year, and first-round applications will be accepted through the 7th of next month.
The Gyeongnam Comprehensive Job Fair is a flagship employment event in the province, jointly hosted by 10 organizations including South Gyeongsang Province, Changwon City, Goseong County, and the Changwon Employment and Labor Office. It is a large-scale hiring event where recruiting companies and job seekers meet in one place to conduct on-site interviews and hiring.
This year's fair will bring together a total of 100 companies, including 60 companies participating directly and 40 participating indirectly. The organizers are preparing various recruitment programs for some 3,000 job seekers, including youth, middle-aged and senior workers, women, vocational high school students, and international students. They also plan to operate a promotional booth for outstanding small and mid-sized companies in the province so that local talent can find good jobs without leaving the region.
Participating companies will be provided with various recruitment services to meet outstanding talent, including operating on-site hiring booths, corporate promotion, support for on-site interviews with job seekers, and linked promotion with job-related organizations. Through a pre-matching system, the province also plans to connect job seekers who reflect companies' hiring needs — such as job field, number of positions, working conditions, and salary — to help boost tangible hiring results.
Companies wishing to participate in the fair can apply through the Gyeongnam Investment and Economic Promotion Agency, the operating organization.
"This fair will go beyond mere event participation, and we plan to strengthen customized support for companies so that it leads to actual hiring," said Kang Doo-soon, director of the Industrial Workforce Division of South Gyeongsang Province. "We ask for the participation and interest of local companies seeking to secure outstanding talent."
