"Come heal yourself while experiencing walking on the Naepo Culture Forest Trail, a national forest trail."
Chungcheongnam-do Province said on the 27th that it will hold the "Naepo Culture Forest Trail Red Spider Lily Walk" event on August 15 in the area of Bowonsa Temple Site in Seosan and Courses 4 and 5 of the Naepo Buddhist Pilgrimage Trail.
The event course is a 9.6㎞ loop that starts at Bowonsa Temple Site in Seosan, passes through Yonghyeon Natural Recreation Forest, Baekamsa Temple Site, and Tungtung Pass, and returns to Bowonsa Temple Site. The course runs through part of Courses 4 and 5 of the Naepo Buddhist Pilgrimage Trail, and participants can encounter colonies of red-yellow spider lilies and the natural scenery of the forest trail while walking the Naepo Culture Forest Trail.
Along with the forest trail walk, various supplementary programs including a photo zone and on-site participation events will be operated. Participants who complete the course will receive a spider lily walk completion badge.
Participation is free. Applications can be made from July 29 to August 9 on the Naepo Culture Forest Trail website. The event will recruit 120 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and snacks will be provided to pre-registrants on the day of the event.
Ahn Kyu-won, head of the province's Forest Recreation Division, urged participation, saying, "This is a good opportunity to directly encounter the beauty and ecological value of the red-yellow spider lily and feel the charm of the national forest trail."
