The water level of Seoul's Dorim Stream rose, submerging walking paths, on the 9th as a heavy rain advisory took effect across the city and a flood watch was temporarily issued for the area.
A flood watch was issued that day for the areas around Sindaebang, Sillim, and Boramae stations near Dorim Stream in Seoul. It was the first such issuance since the Urban Flood Prevention Act took effect in 2024 and after an urban flood forecasting pilot project began this year covering six districts in Seoul—Gangnam, Seocho, Gwanak, Guro, Dongjak, and Yeongdeungpo.
