The walkway along Seoul's Dorimcheon stream was submerged as water levels rose on the 9th, when a heavy rain advisory was in effect across the city and a flooding advisory was temporarily issued.
On that day, a flooding advisory was issued for the areas around Sindaebang, Sillim, and Boramae stations near Dorimcheon in Seoul. It marked the first such advisory since the Urban Flood Prevention Act took effect in 2024 and after an urban flood forecasting pilot program began this year, covering six districts in Seoul: Gangnam, Seocho, Gwanak, Guro, Dongjak, and Yeongdeungpo.
