The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs said it held a business agreement ceremony on the 15th at the 17th Infantry Division in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, with LG Household & Health Care and People Sharing Hope to support daily necessities for vulnerable national merit recipients.
About 100 people attended the event, including Vice Minister Kang Yoon-jin of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, Roh Ji-hye, executive director of LG Household & Health Care, Kim Jung-an, chairman of People Sharing Hope, and national merit recipients from the Bucheon and Gimpo areas.
Under the agreement, LG Household & Health Care donated "Hope Boxes" worth approximately 250 million won, consisting of daily necessities such as shampoo and toothpaste, and food items such as red ginseng and tuna. The donated goods will be delivered to approximately 1,200 vulnerable national merit recipients nationwide.
The 17th Infantry Division also invited about 80 national merit recipients from the Bucheon and Gimpo areas, hosting events including a military band performance, an honor guard demonstration, and an equipment exhibition.
"Along with welfare support through public-private cooperation, we will thoroughly inspect and take care of the living conditions of vulnerable national merit recipients during the summer season," Vice Minister Kang said.
