Samil PwC has joined hands with the Korea Exchange to support small and mid-cap listed companies in strengthening their financial and accounting practices. The two organizations decided to hold "on-site regional financial and accounting practice seminars" across seven areas, including Seoul and Incheon, beginning in late August.
Samil PwC announced on the 28th that, together with the Korea Exchange's Accounting Support Center for Small and Medium Enterprises, it will hold "on-site regional financial and accounting practice seminars" in seven areas, including Seoul, Pangyo, and Incheon, starting in late August. First launched in 2023, this marks the fourth year of the seminars. They are designed to enhance the financial and accounting capabilities and artificial intelligence (AI) response capabilities of listed companies in each region, including those based in provincial areas.
This year, the seminars will cover key considerations and priority review items when adopting Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS) 18. They will also address trends and enhancement measures for the internal accounting control system, strengthened delisting regulations and response strategies, key points of the latest 2026 rulings, precedents, and revised tax laws, as well as transformation strategies for AI Native Enterprises and use cases for agents. Samil PwC experts plan to provide practice-oriented lectures for finance and internal accounting officers and staff at companies listed on the KOSPI, KOSDAQ, and KONEX.
Notably, the Pangyo region was newly added to improve accessibility for listed companies in the Seoul metropolitan area. The seminars will begin in Busan (August 31), followed by Daegu (September 1), Daejeon (September 2), Gwangju (September 7), Incheon (September 10), Pangyo (September 14), and Seoul (September 16). The Incheon and Daejeon seminars will be co-hosted with the respective regional chambers of commerce and industry.
Yoon Hoon-soo, CEO of Samil PwC, said, "As the accounting and disclosure environment surrounding listed companies changes and the use of AI spreads, the capabilities needed in the field are also rapidly evolving." He added, "Samil PwC will expand practical education and support so that companies in each region can effectively utilize the latest systems and AI technology trends."
