Meritz Securities (008560) has launched MOUM, a next-generation investment platform that uses artificial intelligence to connect the entire investment process — from searching for information to analysis, judgment and order placement — in a single service. The idea is to change the investor experience itself by having AI analyze scattered information such as domestic and overseas news, regulatory filings and research reports, and then link that directly to actual trading. The move follows the success of the brokerage's SUPER365 account, which offers commission-free stock trading and made a splash last year, and is seen as a strategy to accelerate its push into the retail market with a platform that goes beyond a conventional mobile trading system (MTS).
Meritz Securities unveiled the new platform at a press briefing held on the 1st at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul. MOUM brings together functions that had been separate — domestic and overseas market information, an investor community, AI analysis and stock trading — so that they work together within a single platform.
MOUM uses AI to help investors easily grasp the context they need for investing. When a company reports earnings, for example, AI screens and summarizes the most important items among the flood of domestic and overseas news, regulatory filings and foreign research reports arriving at the same time. It then combines that with market data to analyze what the information means for the stock. The market screen sums up the day's key developments, while the watchlist section explains what drove a stock's move and flags changes investors should not miss. If a question comes up while reviewing information, investors can ask the AI directly from the screen they are already looking at.

Meritz Securities has combined the MOUM platform with Vega AI, the finance-focused AI of global investment platform Webull. The goal is to develop it into an "agentic AI" that identifies what purpose a user has in searching for information and what investment situation the user is in, and then carries out the necessary analysis on its own.
The search function has also been differentiated from those of existing brokerage platforms. Rather than being limited to entering a specific stock name, it connects everyday interests to investment ideas. A search for "spicy ramen," for instance, presents related food stocks, news and community reactions all at once. Major investment signals such as earnings surprises, 52-week highs and lows, and golden crosses can also be checked at a glance. For exchange-traded funds (ETFs), the platform allows comparison of market capitalization, returns, dividend yields, management fees and daily trading volume on a common basis.
The barrier between searching for information and actually trading has been lowered as well. MOUM applies a "direct trading" function that keeps an order button at the bottom of the screen even while users are reading news, AI analysis or charts. The moment an investor makes a decision, the trade can be executed on the same screen without moving to a separate order window. An "easy mode" is also available for users who want a simpler order process. The company plans to expand the service into a hyper-personalized offering that draws on account and trading data to combine changes in holdings with investment information, linking market discovery, understanding, judgment, execution and portfolio management.
The brokerage has also strengthened service stability in preparation for heavy user traffic. MOUM runs on a hybrid infrastructure that combines Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud with Meritz Securities' own internet data center (IDC). Server resources are designed to scale automatically with traffic, and the platform has undergone load testing based on an assumption of 50,000 concurrent users.
"Until now, we have not had enough points of contact to deliver to individual investors the financial expertise and investment information we have accumulated in corporate finance," Meritz Securities CEO Chang Won-jae said. "Through MOUM, we will close that gap and provide a new investment experience so that investors can make better investment decisions."
