Neurophet (380550.KQ), a company specializing in artificial intelligence for diagnosing and treating brain disorders, is expanding into the North American market by supplying brain imaging analysis AI solutions to a U.S. medical group specializing in neurological conditions.
Neurophet said on the 27th that it has signed a contract to supply Neurophet AQUA and Neurophet AQUA AD Plus to Elevate Clinic in the United States.
Elevate Clinic, based in Texas, is a medical provider specializing in neurological disorders and operates six facilities in major cities across the state. It has an integrated care system for patients with traumatic brain injury and neurological conditions.
The contract expands the application of Neurophet's brain imaging analysis technology, previously used mainly for degenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer's, into traumatic brain injury. For traumatic brain injury patients, precisely identifying changes in brain volume and microbleeds caused by the injury is critical. Neurophet expects AQUA's brain volume measurement and atrophy analysis functions, along with AQUA AD Plus's microbleed detection, to be applied to brain imaging analysis for these patients.
Neurophet AQUA is software that quantitatively analyzes brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans using AI to assess brain atrophy and white matter degeneration. It quantifies the atrophy and white matter changes seen in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, then provides patient-specific analysis reports.
Neurophet AQUA AD Plus provides brain imaging analysis needed when prescribing Alzheimer's treatments. Using AI-based brain MRI analysis, it automatically identifies the location and number of low-intensity lesions linked to cerebral microbleeds and superficial siderosis, as well as high-intensity lesions associated with brain swelling.
Neurophet plans to use the deal as a foothold for securing references from U.S. medical institutions and expanding its North American business. The strategy calls for building actual clinical use cases at specialized neurology providers before broadening supply to major regional hospitals in the United States.
An official at Elevate Clinic said neurological disorders and traumatic brain injury are related in terms of brain imaging analysis, adding that the clinic expects to use Neurophet's products to assess the brain condition of traumatic brain injury patients more precisely and deliver more effective care.
