Coway (021240.KS) is accelerating its push to expand corporate clients with a business-to-business solution that spans product recommendations, professional installation and after-sales care.
Demand for home appliances such as water purifiers and air purifiers is spreading to companies and institutions, making the B2B market a new growth area, according to the rental industry on the 25th. Coway is targeting the market by supporting everything from product selection to installation and maintenance, tailored to each company's usage environment and space.
At the core of Coway's B2B business is customized product recommendations for each client. The company selects products suited to a company's space and usage environment from its lineup of water purifiers, air purifiers and bidets, and also proposes operating plans.
Professional installation capabilities for corporate clients are another Coway differentiator. The company operates a dedicated B2B installation team that provides customized work reflecting client requirements and product usage conditions. For hotels, it proposes suitable products and installation methods based on room layouts and guest usage patterns.
After installation, Coway handles maintenance through a service organization dedicated to corporate clients and its nationwide service infrastructure. Care services such as regular sanitation management and filter replacement reduce the burden of product management for corporate customers.
These B2B capabilities have translated into actual orders. Last year, Coway won orders for about 9,200 water purifiers, air purifiers and bidets for Nonghyup branches nationwide, and secured a contract for about 5,700 units from CJ Group affiliates. In the first half of this year, it won an order for about 2,200 units from Megastudy.
Coway is also diversifying its client base across industries. After supplying products to five-star hotels including Conrad Seoul and Grand Hyatt Seoul, it installed water purifiers and air purifiers at Jeju Ventimo Hotel and Jeju Shinhwa World. The company is expanding its corporate client base into retail, finance and construction, while also posting results in business-to-government sales, winning air purifier procurement contracts from the Seoul, Ulsan and Jeju offices of education.
A Coway official said the company provides solutions optimized for each client's needs based on its status as the industry's top brand and customer trust built over many years, adding that it plans to expand differentiated products and services for corporate clients to strengthen its B2B capabilities.
