Hyundai Engineering & Construction's Technical Training Institute will offer young people seeking employment in the construction sector an opportunity to directly experience its training programs and key job functions.
Hyundai E&C (000720) said on the 3rd that it will hold a "Construction Practical Training Experience Day" on August 28 at its Technical Training Institute in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The event is part of a policy to strengthen employment capabilities among young people. It was arranged to enhance young job seekers' understanding of the construction industry and job functions, and to support their career planning.
The event will begin with an introduction to the institute, followed by a tour of training facilities, hands-on experience of practical training programs by field, and career mentoring by expert faculty.
Participants will tour practice rooms, computer labs, lecture halls, and a safety culture experience center spanning from the first basement level to the sixth floor. Through this, they can observe the field-oriented training environment. In the field-specific programs, participants will experience training courses in key job functions such as architecture and civil engineering, safety, energy, design, and electrical and electronics. They can also directly experience practical training equipment and digital training systems operated in the same environment as actual construction sites.
After the experience portion, career mentoring involving expert faculty from each training program will be held. Participants will receive one-on-one or small-group consultations on required competencies by job function, methods for preparing for certifications, course selection, and hiring trends in the construction industry.
Applications to participate can be submitted through Hyundai E&C Technical Training Institute's official website until August 23. All participants will receive a certificate of participation issued in the institute's name, along with a souvenir.
"This event is designed not only to tour the training facilities but also to allow participants to directly experience the key job functions of the construction industry and actual training courses," an official from Hyundai E&C's Technical Training Institute said. "We hope it will serve as an opportunity for participants to identify their aptitudes and areas of interest and to design concrete career paths."
Meanwhile, since its opening in 1977, Hyundai E&C's Technical Training Institute has trained approximately 40,000 construction professionals, making it the only specialized training institution operated by a domestic construction company. It has been selected as a "5-Year Certified Excellent Training Institution" by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and has been recognized for its expertise, receiving awards from the ministers of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It currently operates customized programs such as the regular course "THE FIELD: Practical Employment Track" and "HILLSTATE Academy," which is linked to the "K-New Deal Academy."
