Samsung Asset Management has revamped FunETF, its exchange-traded fund (ETF) and fund platform, to improve investment convenience. The key change allows users to compare detailed information on both Korean and US-listed ETFs side by side.
Samsung Asset Management said on the 27th that it has added a US ETF search and comparison service to FunETF. With the revamp, investors can now check detailed information on the roughly 1,140 Korean-listed ETFs as well as some 5,500 ETFs listed on US markets in one place through the FunETF app.
In particular, the "ETF Comparison" feature allows users to compare up to five Korean and US ETFs simultaneously on a single screen. Investors can comprehensively compare investment targets, management strategies and performance, making it easier for them to select products that match their investment objectives.
The centerpiece of the revamp is the "US ETF Theme" service. Based on US ETF market trends updated daily, users can intuitively check the investment themes and related ETFs that drew the most attention on the New York markets the previous day. This makes it easy to identify which sectors are attracting investment funds in the US markets.
"We pursued this service revamp in line with the sharp rise in demand for global ETF investment information," an official at Samsung Asset Management said. "With the launch of the US ETF service as a starting point, we plan to expand our base of global investors and continue to advance our services by proactively reflecting investment demand going forward."
