
Sampyo Industry announced on the 24th that Bluecon Speed, a high-early-strength concrete jointly developed with Hyundai Engineering & Construction (000720.KS), has received Green Technology Certification from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT).
Green Technology Certification is a state-authorized certification system granted under the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth to superior technologies that minimize greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions and use energy and resources efficiently.
Bluecon Speed is a high-performance specialty concrete that secures a compressive strength of 5 megapascals (MPa) or more within 24 hours after pouring under conditions of an average daily temperature of 5°C or higher. Recently, it demonstrated its technological capability by securing the same strength within 24 hours even at an average daily temperature of 0°C.
The product shortens the per-floor construction period for off-season apartment framing work by one to two days compared to the previous timeline. It raises operational efficiency in low-temperature environments while reducing energy consumption, contributing to lower carbon emissions. Based on this competitiveness, the product's sales volume last year increased about twofold compared to 2024, proving its market viability.
Earlier, Bluecon Speed became the first in the industry to be designated a "Disaster Safety New Technology" by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. It was recognized for its technological capability in reducing the risk of structural collapse caused by insufficient concrete strength. With the addition of this MOLIT certification, the product has now received state-authorized certification for its eco-friendliness, along with its safety and constructability.
