The stocks most heavily bought by high-return investors trading at Mirae Asset Securities on the morning of the 21st were SK hynix (000660.KS), SK Square (402340.KS), and LG Innotek (011070.KS), in that order.
According to Mirae Asset Securities, the stock most bought by "stock masters" — those in the top 1% of one-month investment returns among the brokerage's stock trading clients — as of 11 a.m. was SK hynix. As of 11 a.m. that day, SK hynix was trading at 1.817 million won, up 3.00% from the previous session.
SK hynix rose as investor sentiment improved after July semiconductor exports hit a record high. According to the Korea Customs Service, semiconductor exports from the 1st to the 20th of this month reached $22.1 billion, up 180.6% from the same period last year and marking the highest level ever for the period. Semiconductors also accounted for 40.3% of total exports, an expansion of 18.4 percentage points from the same period last year.
By contrast, the top net-sold stock that day was Samsung Electronics (005930.KS). As of 11 a.m., Samsung Electronics was trading at 256,500 won, up 5.12% from the previous session. Samsung Electronics extended its gains on news that it had established a new "RX (Robotics eXperience) Business Promotion Office" reporting directly to the CEO. Under the strategy, Roh Tae-moon, CEO and head of the Device eXperience (DX) division, will personally lead the organization to cultivate the robotics business and AI-based autonomous factories as future growth engines. As the stock surged more than 5%, boosted further by strong semiconductor exports, top investors are interpreted to have moved to lock in profits.
The second most net-bought stock was SK Square. At the same time, SK Square was trading at 1.218 million won, up 3.48% from the previous session. LG Innotek followed in third place among net buys.
The top net-sold stocks were Samsung Electronics, Doosan Enerbility (034020.KS), and Hyundai Motor (005380.KS), in that order. On the previous session (the 20th), the top net-bought stocks were Samsung Electronics, Samsung Electro-Mechanics (009150.KS), and SK Square, in that order. The top net-sold stocks were SK hynix, Samsung SDI (006400.KS), and Samsung Electronics preferred shares.
