Korea Airports Corporation said Wednesday it has created a new convenience and food service area on the first floor arrivals hall of Gimpo Airport's domestic passenger terminal.
The project applied a "master concession" model to 954.3 square meters of unused space within the arrivals hall. Under the master concession approach, a specialized operator integrates the composition and management of multiple brands.
Working with the specialized operator, the corporation analyzed passenger movement flows, age demographics and short dwell times, and structured the space around light F&B offerings — including coffee, beverages and desserts — for greeters and family travelers. Tenants include Kakao Friends, Yoajeong x Airbot and Old Ferry Donut.
"We expect convenience for airport users to improve significantly through the expansion of amenities utilizing unused space," said Jeon Heon-bae, acting head of Gimpo Airport. "We will continue to introduce various concessions to provide new experiences for customers."
