Lina Life Insurance is expanding its rollout of generative artificial intelligence tools as it moves ahead with a companywide AI transition.
The insurer said on the 27th that it has introduced Copilot Chat, a web-based conversational AI solution. Employees can use it for everyday tasks such as drafting and summarizing documents and translation.
The company plans to extend Microsoft 365 Copilot to all employees in October. M365 Copilot is a generative AI tool that works with existing workplace software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. The company said it expects the tool to help employees quickly find information needed for email, meetings and document work, and to cut the time spent on repetitive tasks.
Alongside the rollout, Lina Life said it will continue to identify use cases that can be applied to actual work and will pair that with employee training and support to establish a culture of AI use across the organization.
"We will continue to expand the areas where AI is used and strengthen employee capabilities so that this leads to real innovation in how we work," said Park Ki-heung, executive director of Lina Life's digital service division.
