POSCO Future M (003670) will showcase innovative material technologies at a battery exhibition to support future industries including autonomous electric vehicles, energy storage systems (ESS), and humanoid robots.
The company plans to highlight customized solutions for the "Battery of Things (BoT)" era, where all devices are battery-powered, along with group-level achievements in building a raw materials-to-recycling supply chain.
POSCO Future M announced on the 2nd that it will participate in "InterBattery 2026" at COEX in Seoul from the 11th to 13th, operating a large-scale 451-square-meter booth under the theme "Together, Drawing BoT Future."
The exhibition space is divided into five zones: autonomous EVs, data center ESS, advanced solutions, open innovation, and sustainable supply chain, presenting diverse industrial applications of battery materials.
The next-generation innovative materials lineup draws the most attention. The company will feature "Ultra High-Ni" cathode materials with nickel content exceeding 95% to maximize driving range and stability, alongside LFP cathode materials targeting the ESS and entry-level EV markets.
Development progress and roadmaps for all-solid-state battery cathode materials and silicon anode materials—considered game-changers for future industries such as robotics—will also be revealed.
The company plans to showcase its efforts to secure technological leadership through global partnerships. POSCO Future M will introduce its "open innovation" initiatives with innovative companies including U.S.-based all-solid-state battery specialist Factorial Inc. On the morning of the 12th, the company will deliver a joint keynote address with Factorial on battery materials R&D strategy.
The POSCO Group's unrivaled supply chain competitiveness is another core pillar of the exhibition. Technologies to be introduced include Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) for economically producing lithium from low-concentration salt lakes, as well as key all-solid-state battery materials such as solid electrolytes and lithium metal anodes.
The exhibition will also feature an integrated display of EV-related steel products from across the group, including POSCO International's drive motor cores and POSCO's battery packs and cylindrical battery can materials.
POSCO Group is building a full-cycle battery industry supply chain—from raw material procurement to recycling—through global asset investments in Argentine salt lakes, Australian lithium mines, and African graphite mines.
The exhibition booth will also offer interactive events where visitors can learn about battery materials through games while participating in charitable donations. Funds raised through visitor participation will be donated to the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation.
