SM C&C said on the 3rd that it has appointed Choi Young-in (pictured), former head of SBS's entertainment production division, as the new head of its entertainment business division.
Choi has worked at EBS and SBS for 36 years, overseeing content planning and production as well as organizational management. She handled SBS programs including "Ya Shim Man Man," "Healing Camp," "Fantastic Duo," and "My Little Old Boy," and served as head of the entertainment production division. She also led content production and business diversification in roles such as head of the production business division at Studio Prism. Her awards include the Best Program Award in the TV entertainment category at the 37th Baeksang Arts Awards, the Best Program Award in the TV entertainment category at the Korea Broadcasting Producers' Awards, and the Best Program Award in the entertainment TV category at the Korea Broadcasting Awards.
SM C&C said it expects the company "to strengthen its business competitiveness by discovering differentiated original content and intellectual property (IP) based on content production capabilities cultivated over a long period of time."
