NC AI said on the 2nd that it has officially launched VARCO Sound, a generative audio platform built on an AI agent that reads a user's production intent and handles everything from sound generation to editing. Rather than simply producing audio on request, the platform analyzes the purpose and context of a project, decides what work is needed and adjusts the output accordingly.
VARCO Sound is an integrated solution for generating and editing audio for games, video and animation. Since its beta release in January, the company has improved audio generation performance and added features needed in actual production, drawing on feedback from content studios and sound designers at home and abroad.
The centerpiece of the full version is a newly added Sound Agent, which lets users run the platform's generation and editing functions entirely through natural-language dialogue. When a user types in the task they want, the AI identifies the intent, selects the necessary functions and executes them automatically. That allows planners and developers without specialized sound production knowledge to generate and edit the audio they want.
The variation feature, which transforms generated audio, has also been improved to reflect a user's explicit intent more precisely. When a creator enters a text prompt such as "make it more metallic" or "make it heavier," or supplies a specific reference audio file, the AI applies that nuance to the sound immediately and produces a new result.
NC AI also upgraded the sound generation model at the core of the platform. The AI analyzes the movement and situation in an uploaded video and simultaneously generates the various types of sound a scene requires, including Foley, sound effects and ambience. The generated sounds are delivered as separate multitracks rather than merged into a single file, so users can select only the tracks they want or swap out individual sounds to edit the result themselves.

A new automatic volume mixing feature further eases audio editing. When multiple tracks play at once, the AI automatically adjusts the volume balance between them so that no sound is buried or sticks out. That makes it possible to obtain balanced sound at a professional working standard without a separate, complex mastering process.
The company also extended the length of audio it can generate, reducing constraints on content production. The generation limit rose to 60 seconds from a previous maximum of 20 seconds, and NC AI plans to expand support to video inputs of up to 120 seconds so that longer-form content can be handled without difficulty.
NC AI released a dedicated desktop application and a Unity plug-in alongside the platform to allow smooth integration with existing work environments. Assets created in the desktop app can be placed directly into a digital audio workstation (DAW) by drag and drop, letting users continue their workflow without cumbersome steps. The company plans to add a personal library search function based on natural language and audio to further improve convenience.
The Unity plug-in has been registered as a Verified Solution, a designation for tools whose usability and stability have been validated within the Unity ecosystem. Game developers can enter text or images inside the engine to generate sounds instantly and apply them to projects under development without delay, using the simple editing tools provided.
VARCO Sound is available on its official website. All new subscribers currently receive 2,000 free credits for sound generation and editing, and for the month of September the company is running a promotion that gives subscribers access to both VARCO Sound and VARCO 3D.
Lee Yeon-soo, chief executive of NC AI, said the full version of VARCO Sound "has evolved into a practical, work-oriented AI platform that delivers optimal efficiency without disrupting a creator's process." The CEO added, "We will continue to present a new paradigm for the audio creation ecosystem through continuous technological advancement and platform integration."
